Lunch Meetings

The Information Table

This table will be available for all members to put any and all information they would like other members to pick up.  This is being done in an effort to eliminate some of the clutter and to be good stewards of our environment and not waste any paper.

The Lunch Meeting Format 

The format of the meeting will run as follows:

• President’s News

• KWN Committee News

• Introduction of Guests (Guest will introduce themselves and the name of their company)

• Announcements (Any KWN member may make an announcement – all announcements will be limited to 30 seconds.  For instance, if you are looking for volunteers to help you with an event, you can announce the event and that the sign-up sheet is available on the Information Table.)

• Guest Speakers - 4 – 5 guest speakers each meeting with an emphasis on new members for the next 12 months.  We are doing this in an effort to get to know the new members and what companies they represent.  Guest Speakers may put information at the lunch tables. 

• Networking at your own tables.

Lunch Options, Reservations and Pricing

New this year will be the option of choosing the Salad Bar for your lunch.  You must RSVP in order to receive this option.  If you do not specifically request the salad bar or if you are unable to make a reservation, you will receive the regular lunch.   Anyone with a Salad Bar Reservation will be given a ticket upon check-in indicating to the lunch servers that you will be having the Salad Bar. Reservations must be made by the Wednesday before the meeting.  If you reserve and are unable to attend, please cancel your reservation, or you will be charged.  Lunch prices for 2006 will be $11.00 when you reserve; $14.00 at the door.  The monthly newsletter is a great reminder to put in your reservation.  The newsletter will also let you know what the meal will be for that month.

This is not new, but we felt like we should promote it a bit!  Every lunch meeting there is a basket at the check-in table (typically on loan from Kathy LeFave’s Longaberger Collection!) where you can put in $1.00 and your business card.  At the end of each meeting, one business card is drawn and that person receives half the money in the basket, and the KWN keeps the other half of the money.  It’s an easy fundraiser and there is a winner every month!
